Big Cajones!

Podomatic

Solo

A range of recordings done in my studio using Apple's GarageBand software.

TaTaWimba-Conga Free Jam 30.9.06
    Improvisational melody on 4 congas

Cajon Funk 30.9.06
Improv funk beats on the snare bass-cajon

Cajon 4.9.06
As I am still road-testing this adjustable-snare bass cajon, I did this recording  to hear  just what its bass can do. I overdubbed my moaning conga and dropped in a pre-fab kit beat.

Fuji Latinita

Recordings of live percussion and vocals overdubbed and layered on top of my compositions of music samples from Apple's GarageBand software.

Elegua

A really crudely recorded (from an iPod) one-take piece that I sing and drum on.

Diga-Choon

Some of my scat and spanish dialog overdubs over one of my GarageBand compositions

Stabbin With Sarod

So-named for the horn stabs and the sarod riffs.

david koplolovic
David Kopolovic

Recordings of my percussion and vocals overdubbed and layered on top of my compositions of music samples from Apple's GarageBand software.

Flute & Conga Improv 1
Improv recording of flute and percussion. Dave can be heard here layering additional flute licks over his first track.

Stay Tuned!

david landry
David Landry

Recordings done between 2003 and David's death in 2005. Unless indicated, all songs were recorded outdoors at David's Tiki Village, un-rehearsed and with no overdubbing. Go To David's Website

iLa Cuba!

Recorded with one overdubbed track, iLa Cuba! is entirely the product of spontaneous invention. It features David's scat vocals as well as original French lyrics.

David's Song

This features one of David's classic melodies and French lyrics.

RooDooDoo/Say My Name!

If the jam session  was rocking, the audience and other musicians would get to experience David singing  his RooDooDoo piece. Here, he mixes it up with another classic Landry tune, Say My Name!
David Landry Djembe Cluster , Vocals  • Zac Sitzlar congas • Germaine Delainey shaker • Max Kelly Congas

Improvisational pieces recorded outdoors at the Tiki Village

Improv Blues

Germain gets soulful onthis improv' piece that she jumped in on when David Landry and I were doing some recording. Germain sings and plays shaker, while David and I back her up on congas.

Pantomiming Life
A dreamy piece that just kind of came out one evening when I was recording Germaine singing with David Landry on drums.

wild palms
Wild Palms

The Wild Palms is a percussion ensemble featuring predominantly afro-cuban rhythms. Players include Norton Graves, Simba, Allen, and Max Kelly

Improv Merengue 10.9.06

A casual recording done at one of our Sunday morning jams. Simba just started kicken a funky, merengue-ish bass beat, and the rest of us jumped in.
